After too long away
we send love to the stream.
The Majordanes are all well and good (NOW).

Luna, Ava, Nene, and Numa (the CEOs of Majordanes)
are all well. Luna, now 7 is getting on in years
but he seems happy. He has developed a new phobia
(any floor without carpet).
I imagine this comes from his increasing wobbles
and general dislike for all things shiny (which he leaves
to Ava - who adores shiny things when and if they
catch her eye)
Ava, now 5 is well and good. Still protecting the home office
from loud sneezes (one of the only things she hears)
and keeping her
eye on Numa-kitty to make sure he stays in line.
Numa pushed the limits the other day when
he decided to lounge on one of the dog beds.

Ava actually walked by and did a double take.
We laughed ourselves silly at the whole thing.
Nene, now around 3 has finally settled down and rarely destroys
common household items anymore. She thrives on challenges
and learning new commands. We are so happy to have her part
of our pack. We still can't believe we didn't have to pay extra
for her bark. That thing would deter ANY one or
ANYthing even thinking about setting foot
into the home office without permission.
Numa, now 11 is a crotchety ol' man these days.
He has resigned himself to life as an indoor cat
(did I mention he is 11?)
and bides his time waiting for
the unsuspecting fly to mistakenly
cross the barrier into the home office.
Then, the hunt is on!
The boy, has just finished a fruitful summer.
He works at The Roller Garden, just got his driver's
permit, and just cleared himself of Lyme's Disease.
He developed a baker's cyst behind his right knee
and that's how we discovered he was infected with Lyme's.
BUT he just had a check up last Monday and his blood work
came back negative... so he is clear! Today, he starts back
to soccer practices and so ends his summer.
And Dalpha, now another year older is almost
completely healed
from my freshman year adventures in roller derby.
After suffering a torn MCL in Aug 2009
and almost fully recovering from it, I took a fall
in Dec 2009
resulting in 3 damaged fingers
(2 dislocation with a bone
popped through, and a sprain).
Then the following month in Jan 2010 I
took another fall resulting in a broken
fibula and ripped
tendons from my tibia to my fibula.
After two surgeries (1 plate and 7 screws)
I'm now working with my PT on strength
and range of motion.
The good news is we won the league
championships and the Golden Skate
resides with us until the Jan finals!

(Here are Nene and Luna protecting the Golden Skate
- mostly as tripping hazards!)

AND... I'm back skating
(I actually skate better than
I walk, so it is liberating to say the least)
and yes I will be back to competing this season
once we start again in Oct.

I was awarded The Purple Heart (Most Broken) and Team Spirit Award. The cast in this photo was my actual cast - which will now
serve as a traveling trophy from year to year.
If anyone is interested
in viewing the bouts, we may have them available
via our website, so I'll be sure to post
the link and dates.
In the end, all is well.
Well, that's the story from the
Majordanes Home Office
and we're wishing
you all wonderful
blessings!
