 Sunshine Shone Crawl

-Luna and Ava

Well, that was it Streamers! That was the ONE week in MN with FULL sun where it is NOT trying to bake your face off. You blink, you miss it.

ok-Ok-OK... maybe it's not quite THAT bad, but close enough I tell ya!
(point in fact... it is currently raining AGAIN, need I say more?)

Well, even though our arena seats are an obstructed view for the big-ball-o-fire show...
that's no reason to ignore the blessed warmth that has finally come (albeit at a snail's pace) our way, so tonight's blog is dedicated to the sunshine of life and though we know a cat takes every opportunity to catnap in a sunspot... Photobucket
dogs too seem to elbow their way into the very last patch of it whenever possible.
Enjoy Streamers!

 It that Grooming Time of Year Folks - Crawl

Photobucket

Darling! I just love a good grooming!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hello Streamers! Yep - that's right. Here in Minnesota, we know this time of year for a few things. One - road construction starts... and ends about this time next year just in time for more to start up again!
And Two - some personal grooming time!
After a long winter of covering up parts that tend to crack with exposure... Minnesotans everywhere reach to the back of their closets and find those dusty sandals. You know the ones... they look brand new for lack of use due to in climate weather, but you swear they're at least eight years old!!! Yeah those! This is it. The day has come to dawn those long anticipated toes to the outside world for the first time in 10 months! But wait... a double take reveals those toes are less than ready for a grand entrance.
(cue horror music: dun-dun... danger lurks)
Pasty white for lack of sunlight, cracked heals and screaming bunions, they emerge (creeeeekkkkkkk) from the recesses of your sock arsenal only to find them self-conscious, afraid, and shamefully looking for the first sneaker to cover themselves with before too many see the state they have been reduced to...
Photobucket
That's it! No more. I think it's time for a little self-love people! Wonder Toe Powers Activate! Form of... a pedicure! Shape of.... a pumice stone!
Photobucket
Go! Go! GO!
Well, the majordanes feel like this might be happening in other regions besides the great state of MN and want you to know it happens to the best of us! They dedicate this crawl to letting you know you're in good company.
Photobucket
Come one, come all... let's do it! Get out those home pedicure kits! Grab a friend Photobucketor fly solo, Photobucketand sit a bit with the big dogs as you scrub, groove, polish, and buff your way to a more beautiful you!
Love to you Streamers!
 Rain-without-End Crawl
"Oh, oh... what a world, what a world..." - The Wizard of Oz, Wicked Witch of the West as she melts from having water poured on her.
Photobucket
It has been raining now for 3 days.
That means up north it has been snowing on and off for that duration as well.
Thankfully plenty of people prayed for the weather to change so it is now snowing here too.
The winds have been howling since early this morning and the majordanes just stare through me when I try to coax them outside, as if to say..."Oh NO! Not until you do some moisture and temperature control out there!".
Ladies and Gentlemen, I am here to state that it is now official: The Winter of 2007 has EATEN the Spring of 2008. It was hardly a fair fight. That being said, the Majordanes staff at the home office have decided to pay homage to the lesser of two evils - the rain.
Rain mixed with dogs makes for interesting experiences of shaking fits, wonderful new and fascinating smells, and sad looking faces all around. This would have been the perfect time to use Tom Waits' song Rain Dogs, but alas... I have played it here before and decided to focus on the rain and go with one of my favorites from high school - Rain, Rain Beautiful Rain by Ladysmith Black Mambazo.
Enjoy Streamers!
Sending soggy thoughts your way!
 Show me the green - Crawl
Photobucket
I left last Monday to spend the week in Columbus, Ohio (shout out to all Ohio Streamers!). I enjoyed a week long conference in downtown Columbus - which by the way boasts at least 4 - count them 4 - pink lit buildings in its downtown skyline. We left MN on a day predicted to hit 50-whole-friggin-degrees... something the MN population would give a limb for as we stand on the brink of spring. BUT, even though I missed it here... it was a good trade as I got ONE whole 70 degree day while in Columbus, and it felt great! The warmth was enough to keep my spirits up as we returned to a paltry 42 degree, gray sky day, but at least we can finally see the grass here (not sure if the northern half of the state can say the same thing).
In honor of the green stuff... this week's majordanes crawl pays tribute to it and greener days to come! Have a great night Streamers!!!
