Ahhhh! Smell that Streamers... Spring is coming. The arrival of green beer is always the first sign! Majordanes is an IRISH household everyday out there in the real world... but tonight we will turn it up full bore. We will be giving a nod to the only dog comparable in size to the great dane - the Irish Wolfhound. Being a true fan of the large breeds, these animals are my second favorite of the canine world. It is amazing to watch them move and their personalities and temperment are again comparable to the Great Dane when breeding for standards. They have amazing power matched only by their gentleness and bottomlessly kind eyes. SO... this is their day here on Majordanes...

The featured song from the Young Dubliners is BROWN DOG. What are the odds to find a song named for a canine for the Irish Crawl?! I also put together a collection of 10 tunes from Floggin' Molly, Loreena McKennitt, The Pogues, and The Dubliners and have it posted on the comments section. They are some of my favorite irish tunes!

While staying in Cobh, Ireland (seaport where the Titanic was bound for during her maiden voyage, and the memorial city of the Lusitania, as the bodies washed up on the shores of Cobh and are buried there, after the Germans sunk it in WWI), we attended the nightlife at a local pub called the Roaring Donkey. It was the night designated for the locals to gather and play traditional Irish music in the back room. Guiness poured thck and steady that night and we met a wonderful older couple by the name of Barb and Owen, together 30 years or there abouts. Oh the stories?~! But I will save some of those for the special Monday posting. For now... on to the DOGS, videos, pictures, and tunes!

Happy Saturday Crawl Streamers!
In honor of the performances I am part of this weekend - "The Vagina Monologues" - I am dedicating this week's crawl to... you guessed it... Pussy!
Well, that is to say... PussyCATS (mostly!). Now as you can imagine, this did not sit well here at Majordanes Headquarters. There was a small revolt... but I want to assure you that no animals were harmed in the making of this crawl. Some heavy breathing, mostly it about the chase - but all's well that ends well. The Majordanes voted for Prince's "Pussy Control" - for obvious reasons, but instead we went with one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE Drag Queen songs. It is a CLASSIC and no small feat to find, but be careful... what looks vanilla at the onset holds many an innuendo to the contrary.


As for me... I will have to catch up with all of you on Sunday night. Tonight's activities promise to be anything but vanilla in nature. Performance, cast party, and a sideways stop for some Bondage-A-Go-Go to round out the evening. I'm bringing out the big "clev-age" for tonight!

Tomorrow is a road trip with my guy to watch the migrating Bald Eagles as hundreds of pairs make their way through MN to nesting grounds. I have only gone once, but it was a sight to remember.
