This week the Majordanes honor Mothers everywhere!

Wow are the puppies out in full force! But that's natural here in MN! Puppies are usually in high demand when spring rolls around. The non-snow seasons dictate house training convenience and Minnesotans jump on the chance, knowing they will have to wait another year if they don't take this one. Puppies of course need their mother for the first 8 weeks of life for socialization reasons. In the dog world, it is the mother that teaches the rules, behaviors, and manners to her pups. Without her, they could be lost for a very long time, or worse, never realize they are dogs at all. And so goes the story of Luna's humble beginnings, but with Ava's tutelage he is well on his way. I love watching them together. We often remark on how we couldn't have predicted the laughter and joy she would bring, nor the advantages to Luna. Now, though many would call me cracked, I will admit I am looking to add one more to the Majordanes pack. In fact, I found one here in Minneapolis and have sent in my info. If she needs a home, ours has been opened for her.
With the prospect of adding one more to the brood, I ask you all to raise a glass Streamers... to the wonders who are Mothers.
Have a great crawl!

Hope your having a great crawl Streamers!

I just love the puppies
aren't they??
luv ya,
n.
Now, how are Luna and Ava going to like having another one? I guess you'll find out when you step into a slipper full of something they shoulda did outside. LOL.
My stepmother has 2 labrador retrievers, Buster and Junior. There is NO WAY she could add to the duo, they don't like it when my brother brings any of his dogs over to the house. They seem to have this thing going and no one is going to get in the way of it. Except me.
I seem to be an object of much attention when I go for a visit, and I don't take them any treats. They won't even go outside unless they have to when I'm there and I'm the only visitor they show this kind of attention to. I have one on my foot and the other next to me on the couch at ALL times. Sometimes they both try to fit on my lap. UMMMM, that doesn't work too well.
Sherry
Did you say you were going to add another "big" dog?
So glad to see you
I do sleep - but they make sure I don't get too lazy!
Ava is the MORNING dog. She wants to be out and enjoying
the sunrise and Luna just stares her down... like, "Are you serious?
The dew is still on the grass! Ewww - my feet will get wet?"
Usually - I can get them to settle back down and grab a little
more dream time before my day beckons me again.
Our favorite time is MORNING RUBS.
They line up for that and then fall to the floor in a slump
of carpet rubbing and ear /eye licking...
Who knew those activities would eventually
replace my morning cartoon fun?!
given up for rescue. The size of them just scares so many
would-be adopters off that I just have to try to offer a home.
Now tell me. What is the difference between having 2 dogs
vs. 3? What did you notice when you went from 2 to 3?
What about feeding? walking? other...
Let me know.
My guy is neutral and knows
this would be IT for us... but has some questions
and I promised to ask.
Much love your way n.
Hope life is good.
With that kind of animal attraction, there must be something
pretty special that they love about you - but I can see that too!!!
Dogs love stable, calming energy
(so do cats, which is WHY they hate puppies.... SO NOT stable!?!)
and that may be what draws them to you on your visits.
You may also be more ALPHA than their owner? Dogs will
GLOM to the most alpha member of the pack when they arrive.
Does the step-mom see you as "in-charge"? Does she let you take
charge when you are visiting? The dogs are tuned into all of that!
What a great experience! Isn't it remarkable to be the center of their world?
They love and love without end. Nothing better.
I love when large dogs think they belong on a lap!
I saw there was still room on the living
room floor during their nap time
and said... ahhhh what the heck!
Kidding. The dane was given up to rescue
because the owner just fell on hard times.
She had to give her up and she happens to
be here in Minneapolis. Well... what was I to do?
Put a needy dane in front of me, and I'll start thinking
of a way to help. Not sure she will fit with us yet - Sherry
brought up a good point. If the dynamic duo isn't open to having
her as part of the pack, then we are not the right fit for her.
So it is pending at best. I'll keep the Stream updated!
Now... just imagine three of them trying to use me as a sofa.
Better get some rest tho....I've heard tales of 'Three Dog Nights'

So sweet ... I couldn't help mentioning you in my post today!
Hugggggggggggggggggz,
Taylor
Yep - 3-dog-nites..
No - no ... I'm wrong, silly me.
saw some craziness of the
Big Dogs was Overheard!
Always a pleasure Taylor!
All kinds of love your way!
I'm not so sure I'd believe it was the dogs that left those marks!?!
I've told you before, the barks are a secret message sent from my dogs to yours
as part of my mind control plan! Ever watch the Warner Brothers Cartoon called,
"Pinky and The Brain" about the two lab mice? I loved it!
Now where did I leave my clev-age?...
And where are those dogs to do my bidding?
Puppies and babies - gotta find a way to keep them
small and cuddley longer. Geez, with all the technology
we have - you'd think that was a possibility?!
You sweet woman.
Well - you inspired the poem the writing so
you may do what you like with it. My son writes poems now
and I am amazed at them every time. I should get back to writings
like that. Wel - happy Sunday June - Hope you are having a great day!
I loved that you left Wayne in Dyer straits (sorry I just could resist)!
lie-o-rific skills on my resume soon. I can see it now, I'll credit: corrupted
by the Stream!
ok-ok-ok... so I was a storyteller
already when I arrived! Not my fault.
When I left home, Mom said... "Just stick with something
yer good at..." - and the rest is history. What was I suppose to do...
Yeah? Like that wouldv'e worked!
Not lies Dalpha, "enhancements" of the truth. Don't you learn anything from listening to politicians? Remember they are our gurus and we are their humble grasshoppers.
But seriously, that was one excellent interview! Great job.
Wait - is this circling back around to
the cleavage, cigar, and drool trio
from Bellas? I got plenty of top-dog droolers
if you need pointers there Anex!
Thanks for the nod on the interview.
It took some time, but again really fun!
I miss having puppies around, and watching the Mother care for them.
When I was a child we had a Boxer, and she had several litters, I always wanted to keep them all, and I would get really upset when my parents sold one.
Good luck with your third baby! It may take sometime for Luna & Ava to accept him but, hopefully they will right away!

Hope you are enjoying a long weekend!
Mentioned you at my place!
Hugggggggggggz,
Taylor
I am hoping the third addition
will work out and we all make
a little room for her in our hearts.
Wish us luck - we'll need it.
