In honor of a third possible dane joining the Majordanes home office, THREE DOG NIGHT is our musical selection and theme for the the evening. I am hopeful we will find the right fit for our little pack and make room for one more set of soulful eyes to grace our lives. We were blessed with unexpected wonders when Ava came to us, and as she set the bar pretty high, we will have to remember to grant patience and understanding to the new arrival. It will be a very special dane who finds their way here. Have a wonderful weekend Streamers and a special Memorial Day to all those out there with soldiers in their lives. Much love from the Majordanes and Dalpha

DAlpha - oh cannot wait to see the new baby - one of the black ones on the photo gallery looked just like the one we had with the white spot on its chest. Have a great weekend - june

Anex - more than 3?... that's just not possible. We calculated the sqaure footage of our home vs. the amount of dogs and once we go beyond three, we figured out they for sure own more of the house than we do... not good.

I love Three Dog Night and your Danes are beautiful! When we get moved into our own place, the kids are getting a dog...but I'm afraid mine is going to be something much smaller...like a Boston Terrier or something!

Hi Bella baby! What's shaking chica! The saga of our third goes on...
The first little one we planned for meet and greet was scooped up by her foster family. They just fell in love with her and I can't blame them. No worries though. The whole point is to get them good homes so I am glad she found her way to a safe and happy place. A second little one is here in MN and we are in the process of jumping hoops and we may get to meet her this weekend. She is a tiny dane and needs some fattening up so we'l see how the duo gets along with her. Ava will welcome another dog to play with as Luna is gets tired FAST! Old conger of 5 years that he is...
Whatever happens, we will open our hearts and home to one more and see how it goes. It will take serious team work... ...NOT that kind of teamWORK?!!

Hey there Lookin!!! Nope. No reast for the wicked!? I have it on VERY good aunthority that THREE is the magic number for danes... so commence with the MAGIC already!
by Dalpha (PM , CC ) on Saturday May 24, 2008 @ 10:53 PM
Hey Heather S! That is awesome! Every child can learn from having a pet. Compassion, empathy, responsibility... doesn't matter the size - big or small! And BOUNDLESS love. Learning to love unconditionally isn't easy and animals can teach that to anyone willing to learn it. Have a great weekend!

MISFITS! Have I told you lately that I miss you?
Yep! I am taking KK's advice and going for the trio of danes! You're right. Can't have just one... and suddenly there are danes popping up in shelters and rescues here in MN. I will wait for the right one to pick us and go from there.
AND I hear you have a hole in the ground?! AWESOME! Can't wait for you to have your new home! SO exciting! Great pix of the heavy machinery too! Classic. Keep those for sure!
Love and nudges from all of us here! We keep you in our thoughts daily!

Mouse! yep - we will try. The number three is a very good number. We just have to make sure she is the right one to be with us. It means keeping our hearts a little guarded so we don't fall in the love with the wrong girl and end up doing damage to the majordane pack instead of adding to it.
by Lonny (PM , CC ) on Sunday May 25, 2008 @ 12:22 PM
Hi Lonny! That Luna is getting more and more tired and Ava just wants to play, so we thought we would get her a second playmate and pack member to harass!
Plus, when one of them kicks the bucket the other will have a companion that remains. And... Numa, the cat, isn't long for this world in my opinion, but he's fooled me before?!

The storm touched down just 30 minutes from our home. It started in the West Metro (where the Majordanes Home office is located) just north of us and traveled east - touching down in Hugo MN - just North of St Paul. Total loss to one neighborhood... really sad. We are lucky.

Morning Azron~!! I love that Rubbs wore you down and you now have an icon (at least that's the story I read over there)!
Did you have a good Memorial Day? I had an all day date with my front yard and the never ending battle of the dandelions!
After spending hours of unrelenting weed popping out there, my Mr. called me the "Dandelion Tamer." Now today, I'm afraid to look out... because if I see one speck of yellow out there I may snap?!! Have a great day Azron!
